Question: Discuss about the Sustainability Accounting and Reportingfor KPMG. Answer: The research is presented on the basis of research done by various professionals from KPMG who evaluated the financial websites, websites and corporate responsibilities of various organizations. The research is presented in three segments: Segment 1 presented a report card regarding the carbon accounting Segment 2 represented the report about the CR quality among the G250 Segment 3 explained the global trends regarding CR reporting. The research used the secondary method of collecting the data and the data collected from various printed reports, information from various published PDF and various web-only contents. Further, the data used from various reports that were published between the period of mid 2014 to m id 2015, and reports of 2013 for those companies who did not published any report between 2014 and 2015. Further, the findings are made on the basis of evaluation of only publicly available data and not from the data that were submitted by the organizations to the KPMG firms (The KPMG Survey of Corporate Responsibility Reporting 2015). In the 1st part, it was found that there is short of reliability regarding the information of carbon that are revealed by the CR reports or financial reports of various organizations. In the 2nd part, it is identified that since 2013 the CR quality in Asia pacific has been improved slightly and the 3rd part signifies that more companies from Asia Pacific are now reporting on CR as compared to other regions. It further found that at present, the CR reporting rate among G250 is more than 90% (SustainAbility 2017). Reference: Sustainability-reports.com. (2017).
